First of all, you need a classic aquarium filled with water at 80% of its height.

Then we will realize the extension of your aquarium.

For that cut 5 small plates in large plates of acrylic glass. You will find acrylic glass plates on this site:

2 plates with following dimensions 23x45cm, 2 plates with dimensions 21x30cm, and 1 with dimensions 20x23cm.

To do this, start by drawing your plates using a ruler and a felt and then cut them with a hacksaw.

Place a dot of cyanoacrylate glue every 5cm then assemble the 5 plates.

Then make a joint inside each edge with acrylic glue to seal the extension of your aquarium.

Then make a hole with a toothpick in a small piece of polystyrene that will serve as a float. And insert a small pipe into the hole thus formed.

Setting up the extension on your aquarium

Put the extension of your aquarium and the float inside the extension as in the photo below:

Using the hose, vacuum the air in the aquarium extension while adding water gradually. The water will rise in the extension instead of the sucked air and form a new level for your fishes.
